For vehicle painting and respraying our commercial spray shop department has more than 30 years of paint spraying experience in both the commercial vehicle and the aerospace (military and commercial aircraft) industries.
We specialise in all types of commercial vehicle respraying and painting. For all our paintwork, including respraying vehicles, we use only Premium quality products and paint. Our paint team respray customer’s vehicles to the same high standards we have for our own products including the Helios horsebox range. Our paint procedures include full preparation; etch primer, 2k HS primer, base coat (metallic) and 2k clear coat or 2k solid colour. If you require Vinyl decals or sprayed paint masks on your repainted vehicle they can be designed to your own personal choice or we can design them for you. We not only spray customer’s vehicles, but have a good turnover of parts and one off static items including motor cycle parts, decorative shop lighting, speaker boxes, custom vehicle parts, the list goes on.Our team take great pride in finishing all respraying and paintwork to the highest of standards using only quality products. Their attention to detail is second to none. We apply the same high standards to all our repainting, from tractor units, box/panel vans, cement mixers, tippers, flatbeds to lifeboats and parts. We carry out non-major repairs prior to re-painting. Our manufacturing workshops will undertake more involved alterations or repairs to customer’s requirements. Static items for painting or respraying are easily accommodated in our two thermostatically controlled spray bays and the larger of the two bays enables us to work on vehicles of almost any size. After a vehicle is sprayed we offer the choice of refurbishing parts before replacing them onto the repainted job, making the whole vehicle look like new.

Horseboxes that are painted at each stage of the manufacturing process

The commercial spray shop has proved invaluable for our own Helios horsebox builds as well as horsebox conversions. Rather than manufacture a horsebox to completion then drive off the premises to have it painted, we paint at each stage of the build process. This increases the quality of our finished product in both looks and longevity. Unfortunately horseboxes notoriously rot from the underside of the skirt up. So as part of our commitment to building an unrivalled name in quality with the Helios brand, our commercial spray shop team paint every Helios at the sub frame stage with 3 coats of protective paint and at the end of the build process, when the horsebox enters the spray shop again for full painting they respray the underside once more. They paint any added parts and then Waxoyl the whole underside.

Coat-X for horseboxes and horsebox ramps

Coat-X, our polyurea resin spray-on protective coating, is a complete replacement for heavy rubber mats, ramp carpet and kick sheet. Coat-X fulfils all the requirements for our quality horse areas and on our horsebox ramps. Because it is totally water proof and sprayed on at high temperatures it seals every part. It looks fantastic after each wash and is very hard wearing and light. We have used this product for years and other manufacturers are now catching on. It is due to solid research, investment in machinery and our committed conscientious team of sprayers that the finish in our Helios horse areas and ramps are at the forefront in our industry. We have been so busy with this product from the start that we started a new business www.coat-x.co.uk. We offer the Coat-X polyurea resin spray-on protective coating to customers with existing horseboxes and even horseboxes being built by other manufacturers. This is another area where we lead the way with other manufacturers having ramps and horse areas sprayed at our workshops. Coat-X polyurea resin spray-on protective coating is a tried and tested system and a very versatile coating product. It offers corrosion resistance, waterproofing as well as abrasion protection. It removes the need for gluing or screwing a wall covering into the horse area and also removes the need for heavy mats on the floor. Because Coat-X is sprayed over the whole ramp surface, walls and floor in the horse area it is completely waterproof. Our granules in the top surface allow grip whilst letting water run between hoofs or shoes and the ramp surface. The finish is extremely neat, not affected by sun or heat and looks like new after each washing.

Coat-X for protecting ply lining on vans and as a pickup truck bed liner

We spray our Coat-X Polyurea to protect both customer’s vehicles and loads alike. It is ideal as a protective coating for covering ply lining in vans and many types of commercial vehicle. For pickup truck bed lining it protects from impact and water damage too. We can cover any shape and when sprayed onto ply lining it makes the interiors of vehicles or older vans look like new. Finish is uniform and smart adding a professional look to any work vehicle. Vehicles that get more vigorous use are protected from spills as there are no seams. In delivery vans it is extremely good at stopping loads from moving which also adds to safety. The added benefit of protection against abrasion, corrosion and with good sound insulation properties make it ideal for many vehicle projects. Our team of paint sprayers have great pride in every commission and treat every customer’s vehicle, whether it is used or new with care, masking both inside and out to protect from overspray.
