Innovation – included as standard
Our philosophy has always been one of innovation, incorporating the latest technology whilst maintaining strength and reliability for each horsebox model we build. These innovations must be of benefit to the horsebox, customers and their horses. One example where we are leading the way is our full solar charging system and our full solar hot air extraction system. These two innovations are now fitted as standard to the Helios range and options on our other models. The systems are maintenance free and the quality extraction fan, panels and charge regulator have been thoroughly tested over many years. They are not token systems to tick boxes, but rather a complete charging system, powerful enough to run all the LED lights and keep the batteries topped up and to cool the horse area and living too. The solar panels are so efficient they charge even on the dullest of days, keeping the batteries topped up all year around. The solar controller features the latest PWM charge regulation for reliable and economical battery charge control and they include over charge protection. We have embraced this technology from the very start and could clearly see the benefits for our Helios horsebox design and customers alike. We are so committed to this technology we are liaising with a major solar panel manufacturer to introduce the next generation of flexible solar panels on our latest Helios horsebox range. As a side note, we run the same solar technology in our own home with a 4-kilowatt system.
LED lights
Since the introduction of LED lights (light-emitting diodes) we have fitted them to all our horseboxes builds including conversions and the new Helios and Aeos ranges. We fit these inside the horsebox fot the living and horse area and use them for external lighting including the rear lights. These use a fraction of power of conventional lights and in addition, they benefit from long service life, as there are no bulbs, just diodes.
Low power consumption
Where it is possible we fit low power consumption fridges, flat screen LED TV/DVD players, blown hot air systems and water heaters. This benefits our customer with longer stays away at shows without having to start generators or plug in to the mains to charge auxiliary batteries.
Responsibility to the environment
As a manufacturer, we have a responsibility to the environment for this reason we use the latest VOC compliant paints. All our waste paint and thinners are registered for the VOC content and are collected for safe disposal.
All our chassis for sale are Euro IV or higher for emissions and we even run the latest hybrid technology in our works Toyota Prius.
