Horse Area

The standard size of our horse area is 94.5” wide and 93” high. We will tailor the length of your horsebox to your requirements.

Our horse/pony area in each horsebox, whether it be a ladys box for ponies or a longer horsebox for hunters at 17 hands had to be hardwearing. We start with the basics; low ramp, horse area with close bearers, then phenolic 19mm plywood. This is then coated up to waist height with LineX® (Morecambe) protective coatings. www.linexmorecambe.co.uk. We put waste pipes at the bulkhead of the horsebox to drain away any liquid without it touching the chassis underside. These are also sprayed in LineX® (Morecambe) protective coatings. www.linexmorecambe.co.uk. If you have chosen tack lockers in the horse area these are also sprayed in LineX® (Morecambe) protective coatings. www.linexmorecambe.co.uk. The upper walls and ceiling of the horsebox are white and wipeable for easy cleaning with LED lights fitted for low power consumption. The lights are blue with side lights for safety at night which can be operated from the living area.

Ventilation comes from four half drop windows with bars in the near side wall and vent windows in the tail end. Fans and air conditioning can be fitted in our horseboxes.

Again, like our ramps the horse area is maintenance free.
