Horsebox luton for conversions

For customers who have no luton above the cab, we can in some cases add a horsebox luton. If the body dimensions are correct this gives the Helios shape to any DAF LF model. We need a gap of 6” between the rear of the cab and the body. The body needs to be 96” wide and from the top of the chassis runners to the top of the roof should be at minimum of 101”. We can add a large walk through to the cab at the same time, whilst still retaining the tilting cab for maintenance and servicing. It is worth taking into account the overall vehicle weight when considering the option of a luton on a horsebox conversion.

Horsebox luton for new builds

For new builds we offer the same horsebox luton design as our Helios range of horseboxes. It is basically the same as the one we use on horsebox conversions and is trouble free and time tested. It is also a favourite with mechanics because it allows easy access to the engine and filters within minutes. The Helios design pod and tilt cab can be fitted to any of the DAF LF range with 17.5 inch wheels, including the 7.5, 10, 11 and 12 tonne versions.
