Helios Horsebox Fibreglass Pod And Side Mouldings

When we designed the Helios pod and side ears, we took into account more than just the shape. From a manufacturing approach ease of fitting was high on our list, but also weight, strength and headroom. Our Helios Horsebox fibreglass moulded pod and side ears are manufactured to the very highest standards in thick fibreglass. They are easily fitted in a very short time, with no cutting or alterations and unlike the majority of universal fibreglass pods on the market; they are moulded to fit the DAF/LF cabs shape exactly. This makes locating and fixing the pod a job of just a few hours from start to finish. It is worth noting that universal fibreglass pods made to fit any cab can take up to a week to cut and fit, with framework, welding and this is also added weight. The size of the pod is 96" wide x 58" deep and although they don’t look it, an amazing 27" high and this is actually as tall as or taller than most pods on the market today. The pod is more than large enough for a double bed. At each side of the fibreglass pod we have designed in a flat scoop to make windows easy to fit. We stock pod windows in a few designs if they are required. The Helios horsebox fibreglass pod and side mouldings can be used as just a wind deflector and we sell these for delivery wagons and especially owner drivers who want the Helios look. In most cases, we can then make a large crawl or walk through to the cab, if required.

If you would like to fit the Helios Fibreglass kit to an existing body, here are the relevant sizes: The height from the top of the chassis runner to the top of the pod when fitted is 101". The width of the Helios pod and side ears is 96" and the distance from the back of the cab to the back of the kit is 5" (the body needs to be 6" away from the back of the cab) It is a relatively easy job to move a body an inch either way. The kit is very easy to fit and only requires sealer glue and rivets and on collection we give detailed instructions on fitting.
