VBRA - The Vehicle Builders and Repairers Association
Why use a VBRA member to build your horsebox?
For customer confidence association members operate under codes of practice which include a simple and effective conciliation and arbitration scheme and in the rare event that something should go wrong the code is recognised by the office of fair trading under its customer codes approval scheme. The VBRA code is the only one approved for vehicle body repair. VBRA seeks to advance profesionalism and excellence through representation, education and the provision of member services.
Vehicle Body builders are facing new challenges from technology that is being driven by environmental legislation and in particular EC and National Whole Vehicle Type Approval.
At Kevin Parker Horseboxes Ltd we aim to make the buying and owning of your horsebox as trouble free as possible. Horror stories are all too common so anything we can do to help alleviate worries makes for better business. We have emailed pictures through each build for a few years now and have had very positive responses to this. A deposit at the start of each build and remainder on completion has also helped to build customer confidence.
Our next step was to become VBRA members. Several reasons for this were obvious from the start; we are a forward-thinking company and could see that our next step was certification (vehicle type approval). Type approval will become law in 2009. After several meetings with VBRA and an inspection we attained the level of practice that they require for membership.
